Matt and Allison Robicelli


Allison & Matt Robicelli have been called “restaurant powerhouses” by Zagat, “insanely creative” by First We Feast, “the pinnacle of confectionary hip” by Grub Street, and “much better than we thought they’d turn out” by their high school guidance counselors. They have been a couple for ten years, married for nine, parents for eight, and the collective chef entity internationally known as Robicelli's for seven.

Robicelli's has received international attention for their unique take on ubiquitous desserts, which combines classical technique with boundless imagination. They first became famous for their cupcakes, offered in over 300 varieties, and named some of the best in both NYC and America by Grub Street, Serious Eats, The Daily Meal and more. In recent years, their pies have been rated among these best in the city by Zagat (amongst others), their cookies on of the 5 best in Brooklyn by Yelp, and were bestowed the honor of being one of only two dessert-exclusive bakeries named by the Village Voice as one of the 99 Essential Brooklyn Restaurants.

In addition from being known for some of the city's best baked goods, many of their creations have gone internet viral internationally, such as Tiramatzu, Chicken n 'Waffles cupcakes, and Lasagna a la Nutella (formerly known as Nutelasagna).

Their memoir/cookbook, Robicelli's: A Love Story, With Cupcakes, was named one of the best cookbook of 2013 by The Huffington Post and People Magazine, was a starred review by Publishers Weekly, and called "one of the best cookbooks ever" in the Food52 Piglet Tournament of Cookbooks. They've been seen on Food Network, Cooking Channel, VH1, “The Better Show”, Zagat TV, Sinovision China, the BBC, and many others.
