What is NYCWFF?

The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF) is a star-studded, four-day annual event showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs, culinary personalities and America’s most beloved television chefs while fighting to end hunger. Considered the largest food and wine festival in New York City with more than 80 events, NYCWFF is widely recognized for its tasting events that celebrate America’s favorite foods, intimate dinners with world-famous chefs, late night parties, hands-on classes, educational seminars, coveted wine tastings and more. The 2020 Festival will look and feel different but our mission remains the same - to celebrate and support the diverse NYC restaurant and bar community on their road to recovery while continuing the fight to end hunger for No Kid Hungry and Food Bank For New York City, whose missions are now more crucial than ever.  

What charities does NYCWFF support?

100% of the net proceeds benefit No Kid Hungry® and Food Bank For New York City.  To date,  NYCWFF has raised $13.5MM to date support the fight against hunger.

What are the dates of the 2020 Festival?

Are NYCWFF tickets tax deductible?

NYCWFF tickets are priced at fair market value and therefore are not tax deductible.

Tickets & Events

When will NYCWFF tickets go on sale?

Tickets are on sale starting September 14, 2020.

How much are tickets to NYCWFF?

Our tickets range from $25-$500 and ticket prices vary depending on the type of event you choose to attend. More information about ticket packages can be found here.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Tickets cannot be purchased at the door at any NYCWFF event. Events do sell out quickly, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early!

Are there wait lists for sold-out events?

Unfortunately, we are unable to create a waitlist for any of our events.

What is NYCWFF’s refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.

Live, Intimate Dinners

Who will I be seated with?

Safety and social distancing is our top priority. To offer the optimal experience and adhere to each restaurants’ unique seating capabilities, limited dinner tickets are available and will be sold in the specific table configurations noted in the event description for each dinner. What is your health & safety policy?

The safety of our attendees and participants is our number one priority. All venues will be following and practicing CDC, State and City Guidelines. Notable safety measures enforced by the Festival will include, but are not limited to:

  • Limiting guest count in a restaurant to abide by local guidelines (current guideline is no more than 10 guests per table)
  • Contactless registration
  • All staff required to wear masks/cloth face coverings
  • All guests required to wear masks, except when sitting at their tables (guests should bring their own masks)
  • High-touch surfaces will be cleaned at regular, frequent intervals
  • Special attention to restroom cleanliness
  • Restaurant tables will be spaced out according to social distancing guidelines
  • Guests will be socially distant from any other guests that are not a part of their group
  • NYCWFF will ensure that registered guests are only seated with their own parties.
  • Guests and staff will not be permitted to attend the event if they are experiencing any COVID symptoms
  • Venues are responsible for the health screenings of their own employees, as dictated by government guidelines
What happens in the case of bad weather?

Some dinners will take place in the restaurant’s outdoor dining area. In the case of inclement weather, those dinner will be rescheduled to a date October 12-18. Check each individual event page for the "rain date." NYCWFF reserves the right to reschedule the event to the alternate date up until the scheduled dinner start time, and we will make best efforts to notify guests of any changes as far in advance as possible. All tickets are non-refundable.

Is there a dress code?

For our dinner series, we suggest cocktail attire, though “smart casual” is also acceptable. Please refer to the specific event page for more details.

Is NYCWFF ADA accessible?

Dinner venues are ADA accessible unless otherwise noted on the individual event pages. To request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, and/or any disability accommodation, please contact 646-213-5401 or at least five days in advance to initiate your request. TTY users may also call the box office at (800) 764-8773 to purchase tickets.

Is NYCWFF able to accommodate my dietary restrictions?

We cannot guarantee that participating chefs and restaurants will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask the chef whether or not certain allergens or food items are in the dishes you are going to consume, as well as consulting the menus.

Do I have to pay for food and drinks?

No, your ticket covers all food and beverage consumed at the dinner. Just bring your appetite and enjoy!

Virtual Events

What can I expect from a NYCWFF virtual cooking class?

At your scheduled class time, you will enter a virtual classroom via the Zoom link provided. The guest chef will guide you step-by-step through a recipe, answering questions along the way with the help of our moderator. At the end of the session, there will be a 15 minute Q&A session with the guest chef.

How long is each class?

Each Virtual class is approximately 45 - 60 minutes. The guest chef will lead you through about 30 - 45 minutes of cooking. The last 15 minutes will be a Q&A session with the guest chef.

Will I get to speak to the chef?

Please ask as many questions as you’d like via the chat function within Zoom. If you are selected to ask the chef a question after the dish is finished, the moderator will unmute you. We will do our best to get to every question.

What can I do to make sure I’m best prepared for class?

You will receive a confirmation email from following your purchase. Within this e-mail, you’ll find the Zoom link, recipe, ingredients and cooking utensils. Prior to class, we recommend getting organized by preparing your ingredients and gathering your cooking utensils. This will allow you to easily access all necessary ingredients and materials during the demonstration to best cook along with your chef. Thorough preparations will provide a more enjoyable experience!

What if I don’t have one of the ingredients or need to make a substitution because of dietary restrictions?

We know you are cooking with what you have at home and therefore may need to make substitutions. If you have any questions on substitutions or modifications before the class, please don’t hesitate to reach out to

Can I attend more than one class?

Yes, you are encouraged to sign up for as many as you would like! Sign up on our website here.

What technology do I need for class?

You’ll need an internet connection and the ability to stream audio and video to participate. A link and details on how to join the Zoom session will be included in your confirmation email.

How do I access my class?

To access your class, you will be sent a Zoom Meeting link to the email address you provided when purchasing your ticket, along with a meeting ID and password. By clicking on the link, you will automatically be prompted to open Zoom and join the class. Everyone is encouraged to join the class a few minutes early to ensure that you have a good connection with Zoom. Please note that upon joining you will be directed to the waiting room until the cooking begins and chat opens.

Do I need to create a Zoom account to access this class?

You will not need to register for an account to join. Simply click to “Join the meeting” via in the link above. You will be prompted to download and install the Zoom app. Once downloaded, open the Zoom program you will need to give Zoom access to your computer/phone microphone and camera. When you are ready to join the class select “Join with Video” and “Join Audio” buttons in the bottom left corner of the Zoom application.

Which locations are eligible for shipping (for Cook From The Book classes)?

We are only able to ship cookbooks for Cook From The Book classes to customers with a Mailing Address located within the continental United States. If you are interested in receiving the cookbook for a Cook From The Book class and you are not located within the continental United States, please send us an email at

Which locations are eligible for shipping (for Johnnie Walker presents Behind the Burger Bash hosted by Rachael Ray)?

Shipping of the Pat LaFrieda Burger Bash Box is only available to customers with a Mailing Address located within the continental United States, and is NOT available to customers in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, PO Boxes, or any other countries.

What if I don’t receive an email confirmation following my purchase?

Please allow up to 48 hours to receive your email confirmation. In some cases, the recipe, ingredients and instructions have not yet been finalized at the time your purchase. Please contact us at if you have not received the recipe, instructions and the zoom link 48 hours before your scheduled class begins.
