Turn your studio apartment into a speakeasy and learn the art of the whisky highball with Johnnie Walker.
Drop into our digital cocktail class to create citrus-spiked highballs with James Beard award-winning mixologist Lynnette Marrero. Marrero is a Masterclass mixology teacher and was featured by Food and Wine as one of the “Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink” in 2015.
Throughout the course of the class, Marrero will show you how to make four distinctly different highballs using Johnnie Walker Black Label. She’ll swap stories about her time behind the bar and will turn out ice-cold whisky cocktails.
Your ticket purchase includes a Johnnie Walker Cocktail Carryout Kit.
The kit includes mixers to craft four variations of Johnnie Walker highballs: Crisp Apple, Spicy Ginger, Burnt Orange, and Bitter Lemon. California excluded from this offer. Kit does not include Johnnie Walker Black Label or any alcohol, which must be purchased separately.
*Note: Due to shipping time, anyone who purchases from now up until the class, will not receive their kit for the official start of class (on Thursday, October 15 at 7PM ET). However, you can still redeem your kit after the class - as the kit is included in the ticket price. Thank you!
Frequently Asked Questions
At your scheduled class time, you will enter a virtual classroom via the Zoom link provided. The guest chef will guide you step-by-step through a recipe, answering questions along the way with the help of our moderator. At the end of the session, there will be a 15 minute Q&A session with the guest chef.
Each Virtual class is approximately 45 - 60 minutes. The guest chef will lead you through about 30 - 45 minutes of cooking. The last 15 minutes will be a Q&A session with the guest chef.
Please ask as many questions as you’d like via the chat function within Zoom. If you are selected to ask the chef a question after the dish is finished, the moderator will unmute you. We will do our best to get to every question.
You will receive a confirmation email from firstname.lastname@example.org following your purchase. Within this e-mail, you’ll find the Zoom link, recipe, ingredients and cooking utensils. Prior to class, we recommend getting organized by preparing your ingredients and gathering your cooking utensils. This will allow you to easily access all necessary ingredients and materials during the demonstration to best cook along with your chef. Thorough preparations will provide a more enjoyable experience!
We know you are cooking with what you have at home and therefore may need to make substitutions. If you have any questions on substitutions or modifications before the class, please don’t hesitate to reach out to email@example.com.

You’ll need an internet connection and the ability to stream audio and video to participate. A link and details on how to join the Zoom session will be included in your confirmation email.
To access your class, you will be sent a Zoom Meeting link to the email address you provided when purchasing your ticket, along with a meeting ID and password. By clicking on the link, you will automatically be prompted to open Zoom and join the class. Everyone is encouraged to join the class a few minutes early to ensure that you have a good connection with Zoom. Please note that upon joining you will be directed to the waiting room until the cooking begins and chat opens.
You will not need to register for an account to join. Simply click to “Join the meeting” via in the link above. You will be prompted to download and install the Zoom app. Once downloaded, open the Zoom program you will need to give Zoom access to your computer/phone microphone and camera. When you are ready to join the class select “Join with Video” and “Join Audio” buttons in the bottom left corner of the Zoom application.
We are only able to ship cookbooks for Cook From The Book classes to customers with a Mailing Address located within the continental United States. If you are interested in receiving the cookbook for a Cook From The Book class and you are not located within the continental United States, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shipping of the Pat LaFrieda Burger Bash Box is only available to customers with a Mailing Address located within the continental United States, and is NOT available to customers in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, PO Boxes, or any other countries.
