DESCRIPTION

A Tale of Two Pigs

Iron Chef Marc Forgione and Pitmaster Rodney Scott certainly have a thing or two in common: they are both passionate chefs and experts at cooking meat over a live fire. Forgione learned from top chefs and has helmed the kitchen at multiple steakhouses including BLT and American Cut. He’s a celebrated cookbook author and charitable ambassador, plus the operator of the rustic Italian restaurant Peasant in NoLiTa. Rodney Scott is a James Beard Award winning chef, pitmaster and cookbook author who has been around barbecue his whole life. He’s the founder of a growing barbecue empire with locations in South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama and has cooked his signature whole hog barbecue and southern sides for and with chefs all over the world. While Forgione’s suckling pig feasts and Scott’s Carolina whole hog have some differences, these friends are sure to put on a show over the wood-fired oven at Peasant and cook up a meal to remember. Together, they’ll heat up the kitchen at Peasant with their porcine tasting menu.

Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.
