Do you let your stomach and taste buds shape your travel itinerary? If so, this Festival brunch is for you, a globe-trotting event, no passport required. Ethiopian-born, Swedish-raised Chef Marcus Samuelsson, the man behind the lauded restaurants Red Rooster and Hav & Mar, is organizing this fantastic brunch along with Ethiopian-born Executive Chef of Hav & Mar, Fariyal Abdullahi. They’ll be joined by Chef Nasim Alikhani, whose Brooklyn restaurant, Sofreh, set off a craze for Persian cuisine in the city when it opened in 2019.
Join us to taste what culinary masterpieces these three chefs create when they get together to cook one delicious brunch that is certain to have influences from all corners of the planet—from Eastern Africa to Iran to Scandinavia with a sprinkling of New York City on the top. The brunch will take place at Hav & Mar, Marcus Samuelsson’s newest restaurant, which received a very favorable two-star review from The New York Times earlier this year.
