Delicious Miss Brown Comes North

You might recognize Chef Kardea Brown from her popular Food Network show “Delicious Miss Brown.” She’s been cooking up the cuisine of her family and ancestors, Gullah Geechee cuisine, a culture of a distinct group of African Americans living in the coastal areas of South Carolina and Georgia who have managed to preserve much of the West African language, cuisine and culture from centuries past. This is cuisine with an interesting story to tell.

At this exciting Demo & Dine event,  Chef Brown will introduce her signature cuisine to you, first doing a cooking demonstration on her classic dishes and then you'll get to dig into the sumptuous fare, sampling the cuisine that has survived the trans-Atlantic slave trade, slavery, oppression and is now being celebrated. You’ll get a feast of feel good fare, hearty dishes that will make you fall in love with this cuisine.

Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.
