DESCRIPTION

Napa Valley Meets Korean Cuisine

Chef Hooni Kim of New York City’s critically acclaimed Danji and Carlton McCoy, CEO & President of Heitz Cellar and host of CNN's "Nomad", will unite at NYCWFF for this not-to-be-missed dinner that pairs high end Korean cuisine with some of Napa Valley’s finest wines. After training at Daniel and Masa, Chef Kim opened Danji, the first Michelin-starred Korean restaurant in the world. He’s been praised for combining the highest quality ingredients with classic techniques to highlight authentic Korean cuisine. For this intimate dinner, he’ll be joined by McCoy, the only Black CEO in Napa Valley’s wine industry, the second African American to become a Master Sommelier and an alum of top NYC restaurants including Per Se, Aquavit and Craft Steak.

Inspired by the utmost respect for nature, Ink Grade’s wines pay homage to early pioneers of the Napa Valley. The vineyard lies in the north-east corner of the Howell Mountain AVA and sits at elevations as high as 2,200 feet. Bound in layers of volcanic soil – it is a terroir capable of producing concentrated, distinct wines. If you love out of the box wine pairings and dinner table travel, this extravagant four-course meal was designed with you in mind.

Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.
