General Information

What is NYCWFF?

The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One is a star-studded, four-day annual event showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs, culinary personalities, lifestyle experts and America’s most beloved television chefs while raising funds to support the fight against to end hunger for No Kid Hungry and Food Bank For New York City.  The largest wine and food festival in NYC, NYCWFF is widely recognized for its tasting events that celebrate America’s favorite foods, intimate dinners with world-famous chefs, late night parties, hands-on classes, educational seminars, wine tastings and more.  

What charities does NYCWFF support?

100% of the Festival's net proceeds benefit No Kid Hungry and Food Bank For New York City.  NYCWFF has raised $13.5MM to date help the fight against hunger.

What are the dates of the 2020 Festival?

Where does NYCWFF take place?

NYCWFF consists of over 80 different events throughout New York City. Our events are located all throughout Manhattan in many quintessential event locations. Our Culinary Campus located at 94 and Hudson River Park's Pier 97, located on the Hudson River, is home to NYCWFF’s signature Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite featuring Culinary Demonstrations as well as our not-to-be-missed outdoor walk-around tasting events.

What happens in the case of bad weather?

While many of our events are indoors, those that are outdoors will happen rain or shine! All tickets are non-refundable.

Is there a dress code?

As a general guideline, we suggest “smart casual” attire for our events. For our dinner series, we suggest cocktail attire, though “smart casual” is also acceptable. Please refer to the specific event page for more details. We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes when attending our larger events.

What items are prohibited from the events?

Security will check all bags at the entrance of all events. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: outside food and beverages, drugs, weapons, backpacks, large bags and suitcases.

Does the Festival have a Bag Policy?

Yes, the Festival has a bag policy for all events taking place at Piers 94 and 97 and that all tickets guests must adhere to. Please review our policy and to ensure you do not get turned away at the door.

Is NYCWFF ADA accessible?

Yes, all event venues are ADA accessible unless otherwise noted on the individual event pages. To request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, and/or any disability accommodation, please contact 646-213-5401 or info@nycwff.org at least five days in advance to initiate your request. TTY users may also call the box office at (800) 764-8773 to purchase tickets.

Is NYCWFF able to accommodate my dietary restrictions?

We cannot guarantee that participating chefs and restaurants will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask the chef whether or not certain allergens or food items are in the dishes you are going to consume, as well as consulting the tabletop menus.

Are NYCWFF tickets tax deductible?

NYCWFF tickets are priced at fair market value and therefore are not tax deductible.

Tickets & Events

When will NYCWFF tickets go on sale?

The Capital One Pre-Sale, offered exclusively to Capital One Cardholders, begins on June 15, 2020.  General tickets are on sale starting June 22, 2020.

How much are tickets to NYCWFF?

Our tickets range from $25-$400 and ticket prices vary depending on the type of event you choose to attend. We also offer several different ticket packages, each including a unique selection of events offered at a discount.

On a Budget?

The Festival now offers a payment plan option to allow you to pay for your tickets over time. Select the “monthly installment payment plan” option at check out. Payment plans are available only for a limited time.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Tickets cannot be purchased at the door at any NYCWFF event. However, from October 9, 2019 – October 13, 2019, you will be able to continue to purchase tickets online or by visiting our Box Office located outside of Pier 94 (at 55th Street and the West Side Highway). Box Office hours and dates will be posted closer to NYCWFF. Events do sell out quickly, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early!

Are there wait lists for sold-out events?

Unfortunately, we are unable to create a waitlist for any of our events.

What is NYCWFF’s refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges. Tickets are transferable, the name of the ticket does not have to match the name of the ticket holder.

Do I have to pay for food and drinks once I’m inside the event?

No, your ticket covers all food and beverage consumed at the event. Just bring your appetite and enjoy!

Can I bring my child?

The full list of family-friendly events can be found here. Most NYCWFF events require that guests are 21 or older, unless otherwise stated on the event page.

Do I need a special entry ticket to the book signings?

Book signings mostly take place within NYCWFF’s Grand Tasting event at Pier 94, which requires a ticket for entry. Click here to purchase your ticket to the Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite and take home a signed copy of one of your favorite cookbooks!

Where do I exchange my ticket for a wristband?

Tickets are scanned and taken at the door in exchange for a wristband. If you are unsure about which line you should go through, please ask one of our volunteers.

Can I get in with a mobile ticket?

Yes! New to NYCWFF 2019, guests can enter a Festival event using a mobile based ticket. Accessing your mobile ticket is simple by downloading the SquadUp App or visiting www.squadup.com and login with your SquadUp ticket account email address and password.

Where should I stay?

NYCWFF offers special rates at a selection of terrific NYC hotels. To take advantage of special NYCWFF rates, we are pleased to offer our guests access to NYCWFF’s travel agent, Carol Press of ProTravel. Please contact Carol at 786-206-2717 to book your stay. Where can I park? And, are there discounts for festival vendors at any near-by parking lots?

There are a few parking options near the Festival’s Culinary Campus at Piers 94 and 97. Unfortunately, we do not offer any discounts at any of these locations.

Which airport should I fly into for the Festival?

Public transportation to the city is available to and from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports. We suggest picking the airport that is most convenient for you.

I’m interested in participating as a chef. Who do I contact?

Thank you for considering participation in NYCWFF! We receive hundreds of requests every year and we do our best to consider everyone. Please let us know your interest by filling out this form or contacting us direct at info@nycwff.org.

Can I volunteer at NYCWFF?

Yes! NYCWFF is always looking for volunteers to assist in setup, checking in guests, passing out materials, giving directions, ticketing and other event support tasks. We also look for experienced culinary volunteers to support our participating chefs. Click here for more information about volunteering.
