Fresh off its Labor Day launch event, the National Thoroughbred League (NTL), the first-ever team horse racing league, is hosting the inaugural New York Cup at the Meadowlands Racetrack, in partnership with the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival, and featuring a performance by the legendary Ja Rule.

So here's what's happening:

Racing: The league's six teams racing against each other, including the hometown New York Knights and first place New Jersey Degens, along with the Philadelphia Stallions, California Shamrocks, Nashville Dreams and the Seattle Racing Club. Witness the first multi-race team contest in Thoroughbred history!
Food: The great Andrew Zimmern hosts (and cooks), as 20 celebrity chefs craft dishes inspired by the six NTL cities -- we challenge you to try them all!
Music: A post-racing afterparty, celebrating 50 years of hip-hop, including a special performance by Ja Rule!
Fashion: Come wear your Kentucky Derby best -- we'll be scouting the top-styles for a mid-event fashion show, with the winners escorted to the winner's circle.
