You’re in for an unforgettable cooking experience as Waxman shares one of his classic and irresistible pasta recipes; linguine with portobello mushrooms. You'll get a lesson in how to use simple and seasonal ingredients that will be sure to transform your typical pasta night into something extraordinary.

You will receive a confirmation email following your purchase. Within this email, you’ll find a Zoom link, recipe, ingredients and cooking utensils. Prior to class, we recommend getting organized by preparing your ingredients and gathering your cooking utensils. This will allow you to easily access all necessary ingredients and materials during the demonstration to best cook along with your chef.
Up your cooking game! The host of each class will be giving away one complimentary annual subscription to the Food Network Kitchen app. In the Food Network app you can cook alongside the Food Network chefs you know and love, explore tried-and-true recipes, learn new skills with step-by-step tutorials and watch your Favorite Network shows. To enter to win: post a photo of your completed NYCWFF at Home dish on Instagram, like and tag @FoodNetworkKitchen, @NYCWFF and @chefjwaxman. Winner will be contacted via Direct Message.
Frequently Asked Questions
At your scheduled class time, you will enter a virtual classroom via the Zoom link provided. The guest chef will guide you step-by-step through a recipe, answering questions along the way with the help of our moderator. At the end of the session, there will be a 15 minute Q&A session with the guest chef.
Each NYCWFF at Home class is approximately 45 - 60 minutes. The guest chef will lead you through about 30 - 45 minutes of cooking. The last 15 minutes will be a Q&A session with the guest chef.
Please ask as many questions as you’d like via the chat function within Zoom. If you are selected to ask the chef a question after the dish is finished, the moderator will unmute you. We will do our best to get to every question.

Yes, feel free to include your family and children in any one of our classes, especially the classes geared for families. Children should always be supervised by an adult while cooking.
You’ll need an internet connection and the ability to stream audio and video to participate. A link and details on how to join the Zoom session will be included in your confirmation email.
To access your class, you will be sent a Zoom Meeting link to the email address you provided when purchasing your ticket, along with a meeting ID and password. By clicking on the link, you will automatically be prompted to open Zoom and join the class. Everyone is encouraged to join the class a few minutes early to ensure that you have a good connection with Zoom. Please note that upon joining you will be directed to the waiting room until the cooking begins and chat opens.
You will not need to register for an account to join. Simply click to “Join the meeting” via in the link above. You will be prompted to download and install the Zoom app. Once downloaded, open the Zoom program you will need to give Zoom access to your computer/phone microphone and camera. When you are ready to join the class select “Join with Video” and “Join Audio” buttons in the bottom left corner of the Zoom application.
