NYCWFF is honored to welcome Chef Kwame Onwauchi, who was called “the most important chef in America” by the San Francisco Chronicle, to NYCWFF for the very first time. Onwauchi spent his childhood between New York City, Nigeria and Louisiana and opened five restaurants before the age of 30. He’s a James Beard Award winner, Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient, Food & Wine Best New Chef and author, most recently of My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef, which chronicles his travels, family history and the African diaspora through stories and recipes. Join Onwuachi for this once in a lifetime dining experience where you’ll enjoy an exquisite menu inspired by his lauded, globally influenced Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
Wine and spirits will be provided by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.
Guests will receive a copy of Kwame Onwuachi’s newly released cookbook, My America: Recipes From a Young Black Chef (Knopf, May 2022).
