Biography

My name is Nika Kukhianidze. I was born and raised in Georgia; a country that is famous for its unique and vibrant cuisine. From my very early childhood I observed my parents and grandparents cooking some traditional Georgian dishes as well as my neighbors who were different nationalities and used to cook meals traditional to their own cultures. My name is Nika Kukhianidze. I was born and raised in Georgia; a country that is famous for its unique and vibrant cuisine. From my very early childhood I observed my parents and grandparents cooking some traditional Georgian dishes as well as my neighbors who were different nationalities and used to cook meals traditional to their own cultures. Neighbors in Georgia often are closer to each other than some relatives and even some friends. We used to share our meals which we cooked with each other daily. That’s how I learnt about German, Jewish, Russian, Ukrainian, Armenian and other cuisines, and derived a strong passion for cooking. After I moved to the US I worked as a chef at Atlantic Fish restaurant and at Chop Restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard. Now I work as a chef at 27 Morton.
