Biography

I was born in Sukhothai, the first capital of Thailand. When I was 5 years old I was sent to my grandparent. They raised and taught me how to live my life and life skills. Whenever my grandmother cooked I always sat next to her and helped her in the kitchen so I learnt a lot of techniques and cooking methods for her. I graduated from Chiangmai university, faculty of education and my major is kindergarten then in 2004 I came to study English in New York. I lived with my aunt who has been here for a half of her life. She is my inspiration because she has been working hard in the restaurant industry. While I was study English I had a chance to demonstrate how to make Som Tum, papaya salad for my classmates and teacher in a presentation class at Pace university and also chosen to play The Woman in Death of a salesman at Hunter college. I have learned English though these as well as watching TV, my favorite channels are Food Network and Cooking Channel and I hope one day I could go for some shows.

I had a chance to opened A Plus Thai with my aunt and we focus on bringing street Thai food style from Thailand.

Not only do I work inside my kitchen I also do a volunteer for New York Cares to help and share my knowledge to society. I taught immigrant adults with basic computer skills, assist with meal snack service, read alounds, ate and crafts projects music and movement activities with children also help prepare meal for homeless at the church at ST. Francis Xavier. Just like balancing your life how to take and give as well as balancing flavors in my dishes. I am still looking to join power of women and women equality campaigns too.
