Growing up in the restaurant industry, with roots tracing back to the inception of her grandfather’s restaurant, Gaylord, in Mumbai 65 years ago, and her parents’ ownership of Akbar Restaurant in NJ, Aditi was immersed in a culinary world rich with tradition.
After graduating from The Glion Hotel School in Switzerland and The French Culinary Institute, Aditi’s culinary journey unfolded under the mentorship of esteemed chefs, fostering her innovative approach to chocolate-making. Known for her playful mastery, Aditi was among the pioneers of chocolate-making classes in NYC, captivating audiences of all ages with her expertise.
In addition to her confectionary success, Aditi is deeply involved with Room To Grow and The Brooklyn Kindergarten Society, leveraging her passion for philanthropy to make a difference in the community.
Tache’s handcrafted delicacies, produced in her enchanting ‘Willy Wonka-esque’ factory, have earned praise in notable publications such as Food & Wine and The New York Times, reflecting Aditi’s playful yet skillful approach to chocolate-making.
