Alex Pineiro, Executive Chef at Winona’s was born and raised in New Jersey and began his culinary career as the sous chef at Ken Orangier’s Toro, before opening his own concept Bodégon located in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. While specializing in Spanish tapas and small plates, Pineiro learned through his culinary career how to master and innovate across a variety of cuisines and styles, which ultimately led him to becoming the founder of his own full-service hospitality advising company, Errant Detritus. With top-tier clients such as Prada, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Meta, among others, Pineriro works on recipe development, content production, and culinary production for a roster of top-tier partners. Now at Winona’s, Pineiro develops and leads the team in a menu rooted in seasonality, while providing comfortable and familiar dishes, executed at the highest level of care.
