Chef and Proprietor of Boutros, Chef Allen Dabagh brings his take on Middle Eastern cooking with NYC culture. The son of Lebanese and Syrian immigrants, Chef Dabagh is inspired by his multicultural upbringing and intertwines spices and flavors reminiscent of his mother’s kitchen to your table. Dining at Boutros transports you with dynamic culinary comforts and an environment of familial love.
Chef Dabagh began his culinary career at Ho’Brah, as a member of the opening team, gaining insight into the development and management of a professional kitchen. This formative experience cemented his passion for the industry. Before continuing his path into the culinary world, Allen graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management with a minor in Architectural Design, he then enrolled at the International Culinary Center and graduated in 2011.
Upon completion of his culinary degree, Chef Dabagh took an entry-level position at renowned Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s The Mark by Jean-Georges. Chef Dabagh was able to move through the ranks in short time. He became a chef tournant, capable of working all stations of the kitchen.
Boutros came to be in 2016 and has flourished as a restaurant that has a focus on the community and the people it serves. Chef Allen continues to bring forth his idea of NYC food culture built around traditional flavors of the Middle East.
