Ash moved to NYC from Pleasant Hill, California in 2006. He has 20 years of restaurant experience from San Francisco to Georgia. He worked in the NYC restaurant scene for five years before landing at Hill Country Chicken as the chef. During that time, Ash introduced breakfast and helped Hill Country Chicken get its critical acclaim. Ash moved to NYC from Pleasant Hill, California in 2006. He has 20 years of restaurant experience from San Francisco to Georgia. He worked in the NYC restaurant scene for five years before landing at Hill Country Chicken as the chef. During that time, Ash introduced breakfast and helped Hill Country Chicken get its critical acclaim. In 2012, Ash moved to Hill Country Barbecue NY as Chef de Cuisine during which time he delivered them two stars from the NY Times and made it the highest rated barbecue spot in NYC. In 2014, Ash helped open Hill Country Brooklyn as the opening Chef. Soon after, he was promoted to the head of all culinary operations for Hill Country. He competed on Season 6: Las Vegas Top Chef as well as Chopped grill masters. Ash’s favorite thing to eat is sticky rice with a fried egg and soy sauce.
