Biography

Jazz Souisay is originally from Indonesia and has lived in New York since 2012. Prior to opening Bali Kitchen in September 2017, Jazz worked in five different restaurants in New York including Sushi Seki on West 46th Street in Hell’s Kitchen and Peacock at The William NYC in Murray Hill. He has experience with a variety of cuisines including Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, British and Korean. Prior to coming to the United States, Jazz was the owner of a successful and pioneering costume rental business in Jakarta (Samar Costumes). He holds a master’s degree in hospital administration from National University in San Diego, CA. Jazz became a U.S. citizen in 2017.
