Biography

Chef Kevin Barrow joined the BR Guest hospitality group in 2015 after re-locating from Charlotte, North Carolina and recently was promoted to Executive Chef of Atlantic Grill near Lincoln Center.

Growing up with parents who had a passion for cooking meant Kevin was destined for a future in the culinary arts. He began cooking for himself when he went away for college and soon realized he had found his calling. Chef Kevin Barrow joined the BR Guest hospitality group in 2015 after re-locating from Charlotte, North Carolina and recently was promoted to Executive Chef of Atlantic Grill near Lincoln Center.

Growing up with parents who had a passion for cooking meant Kevin was destined for a future in the culinary arts. He began cooking for himself when he went away for college and soon realized he had found his calling. He became a mentee of Chef Gene Briggs in Charlotte (whom he still keeps in touch with today) and rose through the ranks, learning anything and everything he could. Although he cannot pin down any specific cuisine that he prefers over others, he finds himself drawn to Italian and Mediterranean dishes and finds himself using these unique and bright flavor profiles as inspiration.

After meeting his wife Natalie they made the decision in 2013 to move to New York City, beginning his NYC journey in the kitchen of BLT Bar and Grill as a line cook then, in 2015, he made the move to Sous Chef with the BR Guest team.

When he is not at work Chef Kevin loves to spend time with family, namely his wife and their two shih tzus – Ollie and Ginger. His favorite meal is a bone-in ribeye and whenever he has extended time off from work you can find him on a resort beach somewhere warm.
