Ben Grossman and Craig Samuel
Chefs & Partners, Ben Grossman and Craig Samuel have carved a name for themselves over the past 10 plus years since starting B+C Restaurants http://www.bcrestaurantgroup.com/ in 2006 with the iconic Real New York Barbecue Restaurant THE SMOKE JOINT.
They have seared their mark on the Brooklyn food landscape by focusing on different influences of southern regional cuisine in all their subsequent restaurants:
• The Smoke Joint: a re-interpreted classic barbecue shack, distilling the essence of regional styles of barbecue in an urban-roadside setting;
• Peaches: a Classic American Restaurant with a nod to the South featuring a contemporary Southern menu in a setting as comfortable as your grandmother’s dining room with service as welcoming as her hospitality;
• Peaches HotHouse: an urban “country cafe” featuring great Southern regional classics such as Shrimp and Grits, Shrimp Po’ Boys, Gumbo and Black Eyed Peas with Country Ham. The main event is Nashville Style Hot Chicken! Crispy, Juicy and Spicy all at once Hot Chicken is not for the faint of heart, but it sure is delicious;
• Peaches Shrimp & Crab; a forward-thinking American Seafood restaurant rooted in the culinary traditions of the South with a surprisingly Eastern Seaboard locale.
Their restaurants have been featured on most recently The Travel Channel-Food Paradise, the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats, the Food Networks Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives and Eat Out with Time Out
Ben and Craig met while both working at Picholine in 1996 and then crossed paths again in 2005 at Henry Meer’s City Hall Restaurant. As they both shared the dream of opening their own restaurants, they planted a seed together and have been tending to its growth ever since.READ LESS
