Biography

Kristin Viola, a native Brooklynite, starting out as a home baker supplying her family and friends with sweet treats. Kristin taught herself how to bake by watching her Grandmother and Aunts in the kitchen. After years of dreaming about someday owning her own shop, Kristin and her sister Stacy opened Buttah in Ridgewood, Queens in 2014. In keeping with her family traditions, everything at Buttah is made in small batches with specialty layer cakes made to order.
