Biography

Called the “most famous deli in the United States” by USA Today, Carnegie Deli opened in midtown Manhattan in 1937 just across from its namesake, Carnegie Hall. Originally a 40-seat restaurant, Carnegie expanded in 1976 when it was taken over by Milton Parker, or as we like to call him, The CPM – The Corned Beef and Pastrami Maven. Today, the Carnegie Deli brand is currently owned and operated by Parker’s daughter, Marian Harper, and Parker’s granddaughter, Sarri Harper Weissman, who uphold the same standards that earned Carnegie its iconic name.

We cure and smoke all of our own meat products and bake all of our famous cheesecakes at our family owned and operated commissary. Not many other delis can boast the same!
