What is your favorite NYC restaurant? And what is your go-to dish? To this day, I still have no idea what the name of this restaurant is. I do know that it is a small shop hidden in between SoHo and Chinatown next to a fire station and around the corner from a statue of a portly man holding sausages. I have been going to this Banh Mi shop since I was in high school and is a memory I fondly share with my wife. What is your ultimate meal? Can’t go wrong with a spicy pork burrito loaded with guacamole! We love our local neighborhood Mexican restaurant and has been my go to after a long day. There’s something about it that makes me feel at home. What three things are always in your pantry? I typically have Garlic, Olive oil and Sriracha in our pantry. If you weren't a chef, what would you be? If I wasn’t a chef, I would be a Graphic Designer. Although I’m not sure if I would be any good at it. It seems that I’ve found comfort in making dumplings instead. If you could cook with anyone, who would that be? I enjoy cooking with my wife. It’s a time for the both of us to wind down after a long day and a chance to laugh with her. What’s your favorite NYCWFF memory? I’ve always had a fascination with Food Network, their shows and the chefs they featured. It brought the energy and passion of cooking at home to everyone. It allowed us to see into different type of kitchens, cultures and way of cooking. The Food and Wine Festival was something that I always looked forward to but never had the opportunity to attend. I am excited to venture out into something new and to experience this opportunity.
