A native of San Francisco, California, Edie knew at a young age that food and the culinary arts would be an integral part of her life. Whether it was always nagging her aunties if she could help in the kitchen as a kid, Julia Child and Yan Can Cook playing as background noise on her family television or getting caught in the flour bin- cooking was a part of everyday life.

After earning a business degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Edie ventured to the east coast and attended the Institute of Culinary Education to further her food knowledge.

Afterwards she worked her way up in famed NYC kitchens, working alongside some of the top chefs of NYC, including Anita Lo and April Bloomfield. After being at the helm of more than a few restaurants in the city and Brooklyn, Edie started Sidney’s Five with some close friends and industry veterans during the height of the pandemic. Alongside her business partners and dedicated staff, they work tirelessly to make every guest feel at home, rejuvenated, and sated after a night out at Sidney’s. Stop by for a martini (or five!), one of the best homemade corn dogs you’ll ever have, slurp down some oysters, and kick back, relax, and have a good time!
