Genesis Cruz is Puerto Rican born and New York raised. She’s been innovating at award-winning bars across the city, including Dead Rabbit & PDT for over a decade. Don’t let her warm and bubbly personality fool you, the creative fire burns hot within Genesis. Her passion fuels ideas which highlight the genuine touch to her bartending skills and pays respect to her cultural heritage. Nowadays, she holds the torch at Bar Belly NYC as their head bartender, taking the knowledge and experience from her work and using it create recipes that challenge the norm and yet maintaining the original philosophy of each cocktail. Genesis sets a high standard of performance for herself and for her team; she wants customers to remember the exceptional caliber of service that they receive and to acknowledge the feeling of warmth and hospitality created at the bottom of every drink.
