Giulio Adriani and Aurelio Petra are the forces behind the Bushwick favorite Rosie Pizza Bar.

Giulio, widely considered one of the most influential pizza makers of the world, came to America in 2010 and launched many successful business like Olio e Piu’ (2010), Forcella (2011), Neapolitan Express (2014), Pizzacake (2020), Rosie Pizza Bar (2021), Slice and Pie (2022) and Lucy Bar (2022).

His accolades are numerous including 5 World Pizza Championship, Time Out Best pizza of New York 2012, Guinness World record Longest Pizza 2017 (1.3 miles), and a constant presence in 50 Top Pizza annual list (www.50toppizza.it)

Giulio has been featured in all major publications in USA (NYTimes, NYPost, TimeOut, NYMagazine, Wall Street Journal, etc) and multiple times on major TV and Food Network Shows (Beta Bobby Flay, DR Oz, Chopped, Travel Channel, Fox News, CBS, etc).

Aurelio was born and raised in Napoli to a family of bakers, he grew up as a “Scugnizzo” on the streets of Naples. Between the alleyways of the magical city he studied and learned the proud Art of Neapolitan pizza.

After meeting Giulio and working together in Roma for many years, In 2011 The Big Apple called and he couldn’t resist the challenge of bringing his passion to the multicultural center of the world.

Eager to learn what the city would have to offer; he started his journey with just a few dollars in his pocket and a heart full of dreams.

He opened Forcella with Giulio and than became the Executive pizza maker of DellaRocco’s in Brooklyn, a huge hit that granted him access to 2020 50 Top Pizza annual list.

His other accolades include a 3rd place in World Championship 2020 in Las Vegas, an Italian Gluten Free championship in 2008 and most recently a World Championship belt for best team in 2022 Las Vegas Pizza Expo.

In 2021 Giulio and Aurelio launched Rosie Pizza Bar in Brooklyn that became immediately a huge hit in the Bushwick community with great ambient and a unique crust that was created specifically for the place.
