An Emmy winning lifestyle host for NBC and their independent production arm, LXTV, Sara Gore has logged over 3000 hours of live and taped television over the course of the past decade. As host of NBC’s hugely popular and Emmy award winning show Open House, a weekly syndicated real estate and design show, she invites viewers into the country’s most lavish (and in some cases, celebrity) homes, giving her passionate fans both advice and inspiration from the industry’s best designers, in demand brokers, and home improvement experts.

Sara also co-hosts New York Live, NBC4 New York’s daily lifestyle series, airing weekdays at 11:30AM.  The show recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary.  Together with co-host Jacque Reid, this dynamic duo serves up a daily dose of the very best New York has to offer from the latest fashion trends to celebrity news and interviews, top food and restaurant choices, and entertainment.

In fact, the overwhelming success of New York Live format became a programming benchmark for other NBC affiliates and in January 2017, The Hub Today was launched. The sister show to New York Live airs live in Boston at 12:30 on NBC 10 and is designed to cater to the passions of Beantown residents.

In addition, Sara serves as host for NBC’s First Look Live on the Red Carpet Specials for the Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy Awards, and for other live specials produced under the LX umbrella.

Early in her career, Gore pursued her passion for food by working as a personal chef, food columnist, running her own catering company, and as a line cook for internationally renowned chef/restaurateur, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. She has continued to demonstrate her cooking skills on television (The Today Show, The Steve Harvey Show, The Martha Stewart Show), in commercials as the face of Dinner Made Easy for General Mills and most recently for DeCecco Pasta, and at home for her husband and three kids. Sara has also appeared on the Food Network as a guest judge on Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition and as a regular guest judge on Beat Bobby Flay. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day (and the one that her kids love the most) Sara produced a series of 30-60 second cooking vignettes called “Breakfast with Open House.” You can find her recipes and videos on her Facebook page, at www.breakfastwithopenhouse.com, or running in the back of a NYC taxi cab.

Originally from upstate New York, Gore graduated summa cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College as a Communications Major and Business/Theater Minor.
