Austin Ishibashi is the Executive Sous Chef at Kin Gin, bringing a unique blend a traditional and contemporary flavor to the kitchen. Hailing from Arlington, Tx. Austin began his culinary journey working at Uchi Dallas where he honed his skills and developed a passion for creative food.
After establishing a solid foundation working around Dallas, Austin moved to New York City, to further better himself at his craft. Having worked at Benoit, to see the classic techniques used in a more modern fare. Moving from there, he went to work at Claro as a sous chef, where he developed an understanding of the vibrant and distinct flavors of regional Mexican cuisine.
At Kin Gin, Austin combines his diverse experiences to create exceptional dishes that honor tradition while pushing their boundaries.
