Jake Geragos and Tae Lee’s culinary partnership began in 2014 when they launched an underground tasting menu out of Tae’s apartment at USC. Jake, an Armenian American from Los Angeles, discovered his passion for cooking that same year and honed his skills in notable New York kitchens like The Clocktower and Musket Room. Tae, born in South Korea and raised in Chicago, was a USC graduate in Industrial and Systems Engineering, balancing a career in engineering while pursuing his love for cooking. Their tasting menu quickly outgrew the apartment, moving into a mezzanine at 10e in downtown LA. Jake & Tae eventually became Co-Executive Head Chefs and Culinary Directors of G&G Hospitality, with multiple locations across LA, NYC, and Southampton. In 2022, they opened Dirty Taco in Grand Central Terminal, where they introduced TacOmakase—a tasting menu that shares flavors from their experiences and travels, telling stories through tacos. Their collaboration embodies a passion for pushing culinary boundaries and crafting memorable experiences.
