Jeff grew up with a strong interest in cooking, and began his culinary career at the Connecticut Culinary Institute, one of Connecticut's top culinary schools. Jeff grew up with a strong interest in cooking, and began his culinary career at the Connecticut Culinary Institute, one of Connecticut’s top culinary schools. He went on to manage a corporate kitchen in Southington, CT before moving back to his hometown of Easton.

In 2010, Jeff chose to follow his passion for locally inspired, seasonal catering and start Skinny Pines, LLC. Since then, he has been bringing his unique, wood fired oven to both family and business events, and has been a popular vendor at local farmer’s markets. He has also been an active mentor to other wood fired caterers throughout the country, hosting networking events and participating in international events that include the mobile oven community.

What is your favorite restaurant in NYC? Blue Hill - all the amazing dishes and farm to table food. Awesome! What is your ultimate meal? Probably a Bavette steak from fleishers craft butchery marinated in a classic asian marinated and roasted in the wood fired oven. With roasted sweet potato fries and an manhattan to drink. For dessert it would have to be ice cream from Ferris Acres in Newtown CT. What three things are always in your pantry? Olive oil, hot sauce and bacon If you weren't a chef, what would you be? A tough question....Probably doing something with computers still... What is the best advice you have ever been given, and from whom? Keep it simple
