Executive Chef Jonathan Ruiz began his career at critically acclaimed Jean-Georges, covering all line positions, developing recipes and training staff for four years. From there, he moved into more casual concepts including House of Brews and The Counter Burger before landing as Executive Chef and Director of Operations for Maiden Lane Hospitality. In 2019, he became Executive Chef for the Howard Hughes Corporation, leading their restaurant concepts in NYC’s coveted Seaport District. In 2020, Chef Jonathan joined the team at Fox Lifestyle Hospitality to be the Executive Chef of Street Taco, the casual bar and taqueria in Kips Bay featuring heritage-driven Mexican street food and inspired Mexican street art. At Street Taco, his menu fuses Mexican culinary traditions with contemporary fare, paired with an expansive collection of classic and modern cocktails crafted from house-made ingredients. Under his culinary direction, Street Taco opened its second location in Manhattan’s Upper West Side in May, 2022.
