Dimitrios Karousis is the general manager and executive chef of one of Brooklyn’s hidden on-the-water gems, Nick’s Lobster House. Winner of NYCWFF’S Backyard BBQ 2018, Dimitrios has pride in his dishes, inspired by his Greek heritage and his Long Island upbringing. What is your favorite NYC restaurant? And what is your go-to dish? Favorite restaurant would be ABCV in the city, and my go-to dish would definitely be the lettuce cups! What is your ultimate meal? Anything lamb really. What three things are always in your pantry? Beans, pasta, and dates! If you weren't a chef, what would you be? Probably a race car driver. If you could cook with anyone, who would that be? Definitely CMC Ken Arnone. What’s your favorite NYCWFF memory? Winning last year's Backyard BBQ with my awesome team and raising money for a great cause.
