In her role as executive chef, Megan Vaughan oversees the kitchen and dining experience of Rare Steakhouse and Rare Lounge. At Rare Steakhouse, she collaborates with local farmers, artisan cheese makers and small businesses to curate a unique steak program that is unparalleled in New England. At Rare Lounge, her menu offers approachable items, enticing bites and a locally sourced raw bar.
Before joining Encore Boston Harbor, Vaughan held several prestigious positions including executive chef at Bourbon Steak in Seattle and corporate chef within the Mina Group. Additionally, during her time as executive sous chef at CUT Beverly Hills, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star, further cementing her reputation as an outstanding culinary talent.
In her free time, Chef Vaughan enjoys volunteering, hiking, and spending time with her wife and their two dogs. She holds a culinary arts associate degree and a bachelor’s degree in food service management from Johnson & Wales, and is dedicated to continuously learning and growing as a culinary professional.
