I have been hosting and entertaining since my college years. I had no idea when I picked up a part time bartending gig that it would lead to a 20+ year career. I have been hosting and entertaining since my college years. I had no idea when I picked up a part time bartending gig that it would lead to a 20+ year career. I have always enjoyed coming up with themes, drinks, food and even booking bands. While working in other bars and restaurants was a great experience, the best has been working in my own. So when a few friends were looking to open a tiki bar in a tiki-less NYC, I was excited and forever grateful for the chance to be a part of creating a home for those in search of fun drinks in silly mugs. In the 17 years that Otto’s Shrunken Head has been open, the nightlife industry has changed and there are so many interesting places to enjoy a drink. I look forward to meeting all of you!

What is your favorite NYC restaurant? And what is your go-to dish? Blue Ribbon. What is your ultimate meal? Simple salad, warm bread, fresh fish and vegetables. What three things are always in your pantry? Hibiscus, smoked salt, and honey. If you weren't a chef, what would you be? A tour guide. If you could cook with anyone, who would that be? My Aunt Mary, I was too young to appreciate her skills when she was able to teach.
