His love of good food and entertainment prompted him to leave the sports industry and join the executive team of a small Long Island City restaurant group in 2010, where he was instrumental in launching six successful venues over six years.

Venturing out on his own in May of 2016, Pete partnered with members of the ownership team of MexiBBQ and began building Southbound BBQ in Rockland County, NY. His love of southern cuisine, hospitality and most importantly, libations, has created an award-winning, southern comfort destination, unparalleled in the tri-state area.
