Born and raised in West New York, New Jersey, in the early ‘80s by his Cuban immigrant parents, Chef Peter Martinez watched his father and grandfather begin their journeys as cooks and learned he wanted to be a chef.

Fast forward twenty years, Chef Peter was first introduced to food as a Prepared Foods Supervisor for Whole Foods. He spent 10 years there learning and growing when he sadly had to step away from the kitchen to work in technology to help support his parents.

Chef Peter left the tech world, enrolled in The Institute of Culinary Education, and quickly caught the eye of professors for his talents. He graduated with top honors and his career took off. He has had the honor of working with many of the industry’s most renowned chefs—Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez, Andrew Zimmern, Daniel Boulud, Andrew Carmellini, David Burke, and Chris Santos to name a few.
Chef Peter took his talents to television where he participated in Food Network’s Cooks vs. Cons and was runner-up on Chopped. His most recent TV venture was on FOX 5’s Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Season 19. Currently, you will find him as the Executive Chef of The Concourse Club in Wood-Ridge, NJ, serving international shareables to locals and tourists alike.
