Chef Rob Derin is the executive chef/owner of Damn Good Chicken in beautiful Blairstown, NJ. Started as a stand at local farmers markets in 2013, Rob opened the first brick and mortar location of Damn Good Chicken in February 2016.
Rob was born and raised in Northern New Jersey and spent his teen years at the Jersey shore working at his uncle’s various restaurants. His passion for food and the restaurant industry led him to Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales in 2001, Rob has worked as an Executive Chef and Banquet Chef for various foodservice companies including Aramark, Sodexho, Westin Hotels, & Five-Star Senior Living.
Our signature item is The Damnwich. It's super simple, but once you have one all other chicken sandwiches pale in comparison.
