Sean Feeney is co-founder of Grovehouse, a Brooklyn based hospitality company launched in 2014 that has produced acclaimed Italian restaurants – LILIA (2016) , MISI (2018), and FINI (2022) . Grovehouse has also created MISIPASTA (2019) , an experiential Italian specialties company that aims to deliver the food and hospitality guests have enjoyed inside the restaurants directly to them in their homes . Additionally, Sean is also a managing partner of transformative restaurants in Red Hook – Hometown BBQ and Red Hook Tavern .
Feeney has become a highly regarded and innovative figure within the hospitality industry by emphatically challenging the way things have always been done in pursuit of helping make everyday a good day for others. Sean is Chairperson of the Food Education Fund , a non profit organization supporting NYC culinary high school students. Feeney also sits on the board of directors of the FDNY Foundation, the non profit organization that supports the New York City Fire Department.
Until 2019, Feeney enjoyed a 16 year career in the finance industry as a credit trader and investor at Goldman Sachs and Anchorage Capital Group. He currently lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his bride Maria and their 3 children.
