Partner’s Rob Rob Shawger, Shane McBride (Balthazar), Ed McFarland (Ed’s Lobster Bar) and executive chef/partner, Matt Abdoo (an eight-year alum of Del Posto) originally formulated the idea for Pig Beach when they met working on America’s highly competitive barbeque teams.

The Pig Beach team also includes Michael Greenlee, former wine director in some of NYC’s most stories restaurants, such as Gotham Bar and Grill, Le Cirque and the Four Seasons Hotel. Greenlee co-founded the American Sommelier Association and in collaboration with Shawger, developed a quaffable white wine called Salty Rinse.
