Biography

Actor, comedian and producer Wendi McLendon-Covey is a master of comedy. With perfect timing and an indelible presence both on stage and camera, she has been captivating audiences her entire career.

Wendi currently stars on the ABC series THE GOLDBERGS, which will premiere its 6th season this coming Fall. The series has earned her two Critics Choice awards for her role as Beverly Goldberg, the hilarious matriarch of The Goldberg family.

Wendi is currently in production on Adam Shankman’s remake of the romantic comedy WHAT MEN WANT, opposite Taraji P. Henson and Max Greenfield.

This October, Wendi can be seen in Ari Sandel’s family comedy GOOSEBUMPS: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN opposite Ken Jeong. She recently completed production on John Butler’s PAPI CHULO opposite Matt Bomer.

In film, Wendi is most recognized for her starring role in in BRIDESMAIDS – the 2011 groundbreaking female comedy. The ensemble was nominated for a SAG and Golden Globe award and the film won 2012 AFI Award for “Movie of the Year.’

True comedy fans will recognize Wendi from the television series RENO 911, a cult classic mockumentary about law enforcement as well as roles on LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL, MODERN FAMILY, and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.

Wendi got her start at the world famous “Groundlings Theater” in Los Angeles, where she excelled at both improv and sketch comedy. She currently resides in Los Angeles, with her husband.
