Café Patoro is the passion project of husband and wife team, Ahla and Eugene. Originally from Sao Paulo, Korean-Brazilian Ahla heard her inner voice to leave her banking job to create the world’s most delicious Pao de Queijo, while NY native Eugene believed it was so good that it became his mission to bring exposure and take pao de queijo to the heights of the bagel and croissant. All fans of Brazil can savor the sweet and savory bites of Brazilian and local fare, as well as delicious coffee and specialty drinks found nowhere else in New York City.
While pao de queijo is commonly only found in the original cheese flavor, Café Patoro has taken these gluten-free cheesy bites to new heights by offering them seasonally in specialty flavors such as: kalamata olive, roasted garlic, jalapeno, onion and chive, pepperoni, pesto, maple bacon and customer favorite – everything seasoning. Additionally, these are delicious sandwiches made with these cheesebreads that are not to be missed.
Café Patoro is a gem of a café. The Brazilian bakery coffee shop has been open since January 2015 and is located on Front St in the Seaport District.
