Charlotte and Carrie Denoyer are the sisters and second-generation NYC restaurateurs behind SoHo’s new gourmet burger spot, Deux Luxe, which opened on Broome Street in May 2025. The dynamic duo is also behind the award-winning Café Deux in Harrison, NY—a casual yet refined French-American restaurant, bar, and chocolaterie they opened together in 2023.
Hospitality is in their DNA, as their Paris-born father Jean Denoyer opened New York City’s iconic La Goulue in the 70s to much acclaim, and now helms restaurants in New York & Palm Beach, Florida. Both sisters pursued other careers before landing back in hospitality, a return to their roots and where their true passions lie. Charlotte, now a pastry chef and restaurateur, developed her love for baking from her Southern mother and honed her skills through commissioned baking projects and pop ups. Carrie, an entrepreneur with a background in graphic design, was inspired by her early work in her father’s restaurants where her passion for creating memorable experiences thrived. The sisters’ first joint venture began with the creation of Cupped Desserts, a healthier alternative to peanut butter cups, and later evolved into Café Deux, which quickly gained recognition from Westchester Magazine as Best Restaurant in Westchester 2024, Best Wagyu Burger in Westchester 2024, and Best Burger in Harrison 2023 & 2024. The Denoyer sisters have become beloved fixtures of the Westchester community, evident through their consistent pursuit of gracious hospitality, the freshest ingredients and a spirited dining experience that guests continue coming back for time and time again. They’ve formed a lasting partnership with Chef Alex Aparicio, who, aer years in high-pressure kitchens, found alignment with Carrie & Charlotte’s values of creating a meaningful and sustainable working environment at Cafe Deux. They connected on this shared vision immediately and have since fostered this belief system throughout all their work
