Herika started her career in high volume restaurants under critically acclaimed chefs such as Thomas Keller, David Chang, Mario Carbone, and Jose Andres. She started as a commis, working through the ranks from Corporate Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Chef De CREAD MORE
Herika started her career in high volume restaurants under critically acclaimed chefs such as Thomas Keller, David Chang, Mario Carbone, and Jose Andres. She started as a commis, working through the ranks from Corporate Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Chef De Cuisine, and to her more recent role as a Corporate Executive Chef for the Mina Group’s REX team. At an early age, she was exposed to a vast range of cuisines and developed a complex palate through her matriarchs’ love of honest cooking, gusto for cuisine and celebration of life. Over the course of her career, Herika has taken an interest in taskforce and restaurant openings and has aided in opening numerous restaurants and diverse concepts, such as Momofuku LV, Mercado Little Spain in the Hudson Yards, International Smoke, Bourbon Pub and Bourbon Steak, ORLA, and multiple Manresa Group
locations in Northern California. In her tenure as one of Mina Group’s Corporate Chefs she was exposed to multi–cultural and diverse concepts ranging from fine dining, brasseries, steakhouses, stadiums, food halls, casual restaurants to name a few. Herika plans on bringing all her collective experiences and knowledge in operations and global cuisine to the Bourbon Steak NY Team. On a personal note Herika has a deep affinity for California cuisine, farmer’s markets, traveling, foraging, dining, collecting cookbooks, and her 2 dogs; Nori and Caesar. Herika donates her time and knowledge and participates in community service activities and special events on behalf of local nonprofit organizations as well as supporting programs implementing and developing platforms for women to achieve leadership positions in hospitality.
