Rasika Venkatesa’s fondest memories are growing up in Chennai, India and cooking with her biggest inspiration, her grandmother. After moving from India in 2019, she developed her career in the Bay Area across several fine dining kitchens, including The French Laundry, Alexander’s Steakhouse, and Rich Table, rising to Chef de Cuisine at Mourad at the age of 23. She was awarded the Rising Chefs Award in 2022 by Star Chefs.

Most recently, Rasika competed on season 21 of Bravo’s Top Chef, and has now started her own pop-up restaurant concept “Mythily” in New York City, which is an ode to her culture, aiming to promote South Indian cuisine in a new light.
