Admir Alibasic, was born and raised in the heart of the steakhouse industry. Growing up amidst the sizzling grills and aromatic marinades of his family’s restaurant, he developed a passion for culinary excellence from a young age. His journey in the culinary world began as a prep, where he observed the artistry of the kitchen firsthand. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and inspired by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto drove him to continue learning the artistry of cooking.
Admir’s defining moment came when he discovered the art of dry aging steaks. Fascinated by the transformative process, he delved deep into the science behind it, experimenting tirelessly until he perfected his craft.
But Admir’s ambitions extended beyond the kitchen. He believed in giving back to the community. He dedicated his time and resources to various charitable causes. Whether it was organizing charity dinners, participating in charity events, or volunteering at local shelters, he remained committed to making a positive impact wherever he could.
By the age of 38, Admir felt ready to embark on his own culinary journey. Together with his family he opened his own restaurant, One Rare Italian Steakhouse. A labor of love that reflected his years of dedication and expertise. Here, he could showcase his innovative approach to steakhouse & Italian cuisine, from the perfectly aged cuts to the creative accompaniments that elevated each dish to new heights.
Today, Admir Alibasic stands as a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. His journey from prep to executive chef/Owner is a testament to his unwavering determination and relentless pursuit of excellence.
