Chef Shelly’s culinary journey traces back to her earliest food memory of her Grandma frying dumplings and selling box lunches from their childhood home. This formative moment planted a seed for a decade-long career in the food industry. Drawing inspiration from an array of diverse and meaningful experiences, Chef Shelly co-founded 2 Girls & a Cookshop with her daughter Jataun – serving Jamaican Tacos and Diasporic Street Food. A testament to their shared passion for culture, community, and connection; their food blends Jamaican culture and nostalgia with a sprinkle of New York’s melting pot.
