DESCRIPTION
Chef Kwame Onwuachi, the force behind Tatiana, one of NYC’s most coveted reservations and a global dining destination joins fellow James Beard Award winner Paul Carmichael for a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration at the iconic James Beard House.
Charismatic, visionary and unapologetically bold, Kwame is redefining American cuisine through the lens of his Afro-Caribbean heritage and Bronx upbringing. His food tells a story and at this rare dinner, you’ll be seated at the heart of it.
Chef Carmichael, acclaimed for his deeply rooted Caribbean cooking at Sydney’s trailblazing Momofuku Seiōbo, now leads Bar Kabawa and Kabwa in NYC’s East Village—Momofuku’s newly opened Caribbean-focused restaurant concept where Kabawa brings his own boundary-pushing perspective to the table. Together, these two powerhouse chefs will craft a multi-course menu that celebrates culture, creativity and craft—each dish a reflection of their voices, memories and unmatched talent.
Set within the storied walls of the James Beard House, this is a dinner where flavor meets storytelling, and culinary history is made.
Wine pairings, thoughtfully selected to elevate each course, will be provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
New to the lineup: Introducing the NYCWFF Mixology Program.
As a guest of this dinner, you’ll enjoy a signature cocktail prepared by an acclaimed bartender, known for innovative cocktails and global recognition. Together with our exclusive spirit partner, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, they’ll craft specialty cocktails that perfectly complement the evening’s menu.
